Gina is a PMA Certified Teacher™ who began her Pilates career in 2005.

Movement & Body Awareness

Gina is a PMA Certified Teacher™ who began her Pilates career in 2005. She completed her comprehensive teacher training course at Long Beach Dance Conditioning under the direction of Marie-José Blom.

In 2007 she continued her education and became trained in Pregnancy and Post-Pregnancy Pilates under the guidance of Jennifer Gianni.

In February 2014, Gina achieved her long-time personal goal of becoming a Master Trainer through Pilates Sports Center, an internationally recognized teacher training program that combines Classical and Progressive styles of teaching. Gina now directs the teacher training program here at ShapeShift Pilates. She also holds a B.A. in English Literature from CSU Long Beach.

Gina began teaching Pilates because she believes that movement and body awareness can have a powerful impact on our lives. She has seen and felt, first-hand, how Pilates can transform both the body and the mind and lead the way to a more healthy and active lifestyle overall. She hopes to pass on this passion to both her clients and to a future generation of Pilates instructors.
